Josh Kopin Vase – Original Glaze, Gas Fired

This wheel-thrown vase by Josh Kopin is made from tan stoneware and finished with his original glaze, then gas fired. The surface is dry and quietly expressive—subtle shifts in tone and sheen emerge where glaze thins, revealing the clay’s sandy warmth beneath. At 5.75 inches tall, it’s beautifully suited for fresh or dried flowers, and could also serve as an understated holder for kitchen utensils, brushes, or tools of another kind.

Josh Kopin による花器。黄味がかったストーンウェアをろくろ成形し、自身のオリジナル釉を施してガス窯で焼成されています。釉薬はマットで穏やかな表情を持ち、部分的に土のあたたかみが透けて見える、静かな景色が魅力です。高さ約14.5cm、花を生けるのはもちろん、キッチンの道具立てや筆立てなどにも使える汎用性のある器です。
